Community Involvement: List

Finding Common Ground

Changing the world one coffee and one conversation at a time.

I want to help people be able to have constructive dialogue with one another, so we can build mutual respect and find common ground. Currently, I host a podcast "Cup of Common Grounds" where my guests and I talk about a variety of topics such as #stopasianhate, modesty, and dating in the LGBTQIA community. In the professional workspace, I facilitate conversations between staff and partners to create safe spaces for open communication.

Mental Health is Health

Embracing the winning styles of Simone Biles, especially when it comes to my mental health.

1 in 5 Americans is diagnosed with mental health issues. I am one of them. Due to my interactions with people who misunderstand mental health, I work to break the stigma by sharing my own experiences, advocating for mental health in my workplace and working with the National Eating Disorder Association and American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

Female Empowerment

I represent only 24% of Wall Street.

Throughout my professional career, I have predominately worked with men. While I have been fortunate with my teams, I feel the lack of diversity. In the workplace, I share my message of an abundance mentality for women. There is room for everyone to have the seat at the table when we create space to empower the women in front, beside, and behind us.

Upskilling Financial Literacy

28 out of 50 US states do not require financial literacy to be taught.

I was fortunate enough to grow up in a household that prioritized teaching money management. When I was 8, I started my first savings account and by 7th grade, I opened my first investment account. These opportunities to learn the world of finance when I was younger, set me up for success to manage my money and budget today. I teach financial literacy to middle schoolers to help provide similiar knowledge.
